Lost In
the Jihad
Here is an interesting story that
comes from the New Yorker written by Jane Mayer. A very interesting piece, to say the least, Mayer’s article
is a very in-depth look at what actually happened with the government’s case
against John Walker Lindh. No
matter what view you take regarding Lindh, the details presented in this article
offer a bizarre and even scary account of the strange politics surrounding this
case, not to mention the circumstances surrounding Lindh himself.

The Language Police
Check out Diane Ravitch’s new book
called The Language Police. It’s
a good read for anyone interested in the ways in which censorship occurs in
America. This is a great book into
understanding the thinking behind those who wish to control the ways in which
others think.

Politics
Evil GOP
Bastards
Well, I guess the
name says it all. Not much need for
a description here, but some very humorous stories about GOP leaders.
The old axiom: there is much truth in humor.
On a serious note, this site does bring to light some serious issues
overlooked by mainstream media. This
site offers irascible scrutiny of the Grand Old Party combined with biting
sarcasm.

Music
NOFX
One of the
greatest punk rock bands, NOFX has come out with a new album called The War
On Errorism. Check it out!
Punk rock energy and a cohesive political rant make this a great album.
The words are great, and the music is as good or better as they have ever
been.
