Leftists
aren't generally serious-- or the message isn't going out.
The
other race/ethnic groups must be allowed to compete against whites economically.
Today-- as always-- nonwhites are being denied access to markets. ##

to consider....
What
is beginning to dawn on me is how much all of what is happening now
1.
A military economy to replace the loss of the vaunted Cold War and its economy.
2.
The heroization (is that a word?) of the faltering Bush presidency and its
congressional supporters---staving off, perhaps, the defeat of the Republican
congress in 2002 and of Bush himself in 2004.
3.
A renewed and greatly empowered CIA, FBI and their concomitant withering of
civil liberties.
4.
A national mood that will accept if not welcome repression.
5.
The end, certainly for the while, of any progressive domestic helping
legislation.
Could
the right have asked for anything more? All the old boys are now back firmly in
the saddle, from the pardoned war criminal Eliot Abrams on up to the Vice
President. This has all been such a blessing to them that my paranoid mind dares
even consider that somehow they let it happen---even though the actual level of
destruction may have exceeded their expectations. Was it all a failure of
intelligence? Consider: the intelligence heads (FBI and CIA) who are getting the
blame are Clinton appointees (Freeh is already gone, Tenet is next to go). Sorry
if some of this sounds like raving---I'm really not ready to make the full
accusation that they knew about it and could have stopped it, but the aftermath
reeks to high heaven.
